Toyota Teams Up with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to Combat High School Dropout Rate

Japanese automaker Toyota is truly concerned about the next generation of drivers. Recently, the brand joined with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to establish a college readiness initiative-Diplomas to Degrees (D2D), which will help improve high school graduation rates by funding youth education programs. Toyota Rules Dependability Rankings from J.D. Power

Vehicles are becoming more dependable across the board. A recent 2012 vehicle dependability study by J.D. Power shows that for 2009 model year cars, only 132 problems were reported per 100 vehicles over three years. This is down from 151 per 100 vehicles in 2008 and marks the lowest numbers since the study began. So which automaker was at the top of this list? Toyota, of course. The Japanese automaker's luxury brand Lexus, its namesake brand Toyota, and its budget-conscious, youthful lineup Scion all made the top five spots.
