Though a lot of attention has been given to the new, all-electric Toyota RAV4 EV, which will premier later this year in limited series production, it's important to also remember that a revamped 2014 Toyota RAV4 will be appearing in early 2014. This new vehicle is already doing some testing, and it has been spotted by several auto journalists. Here's what you can expect from the 2014 model:

The new Toyota RAV4 will have the same basic proportions as the current 2012 Toyota RAV4 SUV, but it will receive a few tweaks- predominately to its front. From the spy shots we've seen circulating online, the fenders and hood at its nose appear to be higher than this year's model, perhaps due to new pedestrian safety laws.

The rear of the 2014 model also seems to be changing a bit, with new taillights extending onto the vehicle's liftgate. Other details, like the RAV4's tailpipe location, spoiler, and low reflectors will stay the same. It's too soon to tell about the heavily concealed rear window, but it seems to have the same shape as the 2012 model as well. As far as power is concerned, we could see more powerful and fuel-efficient versions of the current four-cylinder and V6 engines.
